How long will my appointment last?

The appointment length is different for each patient, but we should be able to give you an idea when you book. Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time. If you are running late (within reason), or want to check whether the clinic is running on time, please phone us on (08) 9313 8290.

What are your opening hours?

Our opening hours are from 9am to 4:30m Monday to Friday.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

Yes, you will need to obtain a referral from your GP prior to seeing Dr Halliday.

What is the difference between a private, public, and overseas patient?

A private patient (insured patient) has private health insurance with hospital cover i.e. HBF. A private patient has a choice of who treats them, what location and when they wish to see the doctor.

A public patient (uninsured patient) is a patient with a Medicare Card only and does not have private health insurance. Public patients are usually referred through the Central Referral System for their care and do not usually have a say as to which doctor they see.

Overseas patients (uninsured private patient) are not usually entitled to a Medicare Card. They may have health insurance but are required to pay all fees upfront.
